There is a lot more to pallet making then some wood and nails ! First of all there are different sizes of pallets (W*L),different strengths, and in some cases, different hights ! The company that I use to work for used 3 different sizes of pallets, they had to ship their product on pallets that were acceptible to their customer. Remember we are living in a age where a lot of machinery in automated, pallets have to be the right size in order for them to fit into the machines that automatically places a product on them or takes a product off. (Such as the pop can industry !) Also some pallets are made of plastic and they can vary also ! We must remember pallets have a life expectancy like everything else. Pallets are easly made into tooth picks when a tow-motor operaters bags them together or against a wall, etc. I think PLT not only distributes, but also makes pallets, does anyone know for sure ?
