Yeah, hey great. "Hundreds" of Flop! drives are not going to to even recoup anywhere close to just the R&D that went into it. Let's say 500 Flop! units/week * 52 weeks = 26,000 units then let's be generous and say Iomega realizes $200 from each one (they don't) = $5,200,000 in revenue. What is the profit margin on Flop? No one knows. But just $5,200,000 in revenue is not exactly a product that can be called anywhere near a success.

Besides, I monitored a typical online retailer -- www.hardwarestreet.com -- all last week and they started the week with 4 Digicam Flop! drives and ended the week with 0. (No other Flop! versions available). The only Flop! disks were the 4-packs- the week started with 74 of these and ended with 70. Not exactly what I'd call a success either.

Please, Bateh. For once, be realistic. Iomega is having problems. The sooner Iomaniacs get this simple fact through their heads, the less pain there will be in the future when Iomega Corp once again disappoints.
