Well, here we are- the week of PMA

(The big huge Photographer's Convention starting Feb. 18) and NOT ONE announcement or even a rumor about a Flop! drive built-in camera. Plenty of companies inlcuding Agfa, Kodak, Ricoh, Olympus, and others have already unveiled their brand new models to an awaiting public, and it seems that 2.3 Megapixels is the new standard. But Flop! isn't.

What is also new are 32MB Smartmedia cards and 96MB CompactFlash cards. These have been heavily touted by Usenet users and digicam rumor sites, and should work very well with the new and better resolutions these new cameras provide. And all of the brand new digital cameras come with these 2 choices-- but not Iomega Flop!

The amount of disinterest among digicam nuts pertaining to Flop! is staggering. And these people should be the ones who really dig Iomega's Flop!. But they don't. The point is, those here who are counting on Iomega's Flop! drive to bail this sick company out of hot water are NOT looking at what is going on in the real world.

You dig?
