Your post has given me the excuse I needed to pontificate! <g>

I concur with Night Writer's response to your post. This thread has also seen some ups and downs.

What really concerns me is the fact that a number of posters/investors feel that there is a competition on between CPQ and DELL. There is a competition between the two companies to gain market share, certainly, but as investors, we should look at the two companies unemotionally and simply as vehicles to enhance our personal wealth.

As an inexperienced trader, I have a number of yellow Post-It's on my monitor with reminders. One of them is to not get emotionally attached to any stock.

So, let's not laud DELL's current, (and probably short-term), worries over the DELLheads. Who knows, CPQ has had bad calls and will most likely have bad calls again...
