Offshore, Information Week had an article from Fortune 500's about their plans to upgrade to Office 2000 within the next year. 89% said they would in some capacity. $ $$$$$

No doubt about it! I think that 89% figure is too low assuming 100% percent using Office97 now. There are always people who give negative answers.
Just imagine 89% upgrade right away very quickly. In the corporate world, there is always paranoia. The remaining would start feeling they may be losing a competitive edge--Yea I know, Maybe not much will be lost competitively but it the FEAR that overcomes the strategists or IT managers among these corporations. That is reality!! They don't want to get any blame and are unwilling to risk it.

That is why Office2000 is going to be HUGEEEEEE! Remember windows98 was not going to be a huge success according to IDC or was it dataquest and lots of expert "analysts". These people just hope.

BTW-They are expecting 50% EPS growth from Dell, a company with a PE of about 100 and not without a dominant product(compared to INTEL and MSFT). Don't get me wrong, I like Dell stock. MSFT had 74% EPS growth last quarter. In the June quarter, they should see a similiar number to the 74%---CFO Maffei is simply "lying" when he gives analysts forecasts for the June quarter. Too bad for the ones who believe him.
March quarter should be great also--as we will see a continuation of the December quarter.
