The stock buy-back...and how it should be viewed...

"Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to 10 percent of the Company's outstanding common shares from time to time through periodic open market transactions or through privately negotiated transactions."

I would not get too overly optimistic about this announcement. Merely
making such a pronouncement does not make it so, in other words, the
company is not obligated to buy back any stock. I hope this is not the
case, but there have been other instances where such a press release
is made in order to boost the share price of a stock which is out of
favor and shares are never repurchased or very few are bought. I don't
think CHC would pull such a PR ploy but I guess we will have to wait
to see if it puts its (our) money where its mouth is.

PS: How can a stock with an EPS ranking of 99 and a Relative Strength
of 5 occur which grew its earnings 79% last quarter and its revenues
52%!!
