HJ, you know what I think is wrong with you guys here? You dont really like books. I notice you are always talking about golf, which is fine but maybe you should be looking at golf stocks? I bought another $100 of books from amzn yesterday. I have always loved reading but amzn has greatly improved my ability to locate books I will like - I really dont care whether amzn charges the absolute cheapest price... I dont want to pay retail usually but 20% off would be ok, Id still go to amzn. When I get something for 30-40% off its just a gift. Yesterday I wanted to get "cold mountain" which I havent read yet, but then based on my prior selections amzn referred me to "endurance" and a queen elizabeth book, because in the past I bought adventure and history. I consider it to be a great service that someone can recommend these books to me, all I ever see when I go into Borders is a huge display of Oprahs sappy romantic novels from her book club.... it was impossible to find good books + if I am unsure I can read the customer reviews. They have added some new tech thing called 1-click selections or something so the next time I wont have to enter so much info (this is customer tracking I know but Im ok with it), it is obvious they have top technical talent working at amzn, the experience is totally different to me than online shopping anywhere else including all the other booksellers.
