They are detailed in my two cassette talk, IS ASPARTAME (NUTRASWEET(R)) SAFE? A MEDICAL, PUBLIC HEALTH AND LEGAL OVERVIEW - 1995, and SWEET'NER DEAREST: BITTERSWEET VIGNETTES ABOUT ASPARTAME (NUTRASWEET (R))-published by the Sunshine Sentinel Press (P. O. Box 17799, West Palm Beach, Florida 33416; 1 800 -814-9800; Fax 561-832-2400; e-mail, sunpress@icanect.net).
God help us. Can you spell "crank"? Not only doesn't this guy publish in a reputable medical journal, he's gotta pay to get himself out there at all.
It's frequently been alleged, and I believe I posted links about it much earlier on this thread, that the NutraSweet people did all they could (which was a lot) to see to it that stevia wasn't approved as a sweetener by the FDA. That's as may be. But sorry: if over 50% of the population of the US regularly consumes these products, and if they're as dangerous as Dr Crank alleges, we'd be facing problems of Malthusian proportions.
I am constantly amazed by the inability of many contributors to this thread to distinguish between good and bad sources, and to evaluate professional credentials. |
