Beyond the financial part of the announcement, where I would expect to see them have a revenue increase over comp. quarter from last year and income from operations that are positive (in addition to their interest income)...I would hope they begin to emphasize their latent earnings and cash flow potential from: 1.) The Obvious-- their cash position (which clearly can be used for an "accretive" acquisition so long as they pay less than 33 times last year's after tax earnings...and will be even more accretive due to their huge "hidden asset" ...their tax asset and tax credits.) 2.) The Less Obvious-- A hidden $10mm asset that does not appear on their balance sheet (worth $1.50/share in real cash at some point in time)..namely their NOLs and tax credits that they will be able to utilize and will drop to shareholders' equity when their earnings can be offset with them and also under certain option exercise scenarios. 3.) Their "base" business model...where they have already..and continue to invest heavily in product development and are now backing that up with the marketing necessary to translate their suite of products into revenue streams. 4.) Their "Wins" in terms of "name" customers who have shown confidence in Inference by trusting Inference products to provide quality service to their customers...especially for "k-commerce."
If the feedback about the December visits is correct, it would appear that they are hopeful of delivering strong financial results for 2Q and beyond...which they would announce around August 15-20...and I would think they would probably wait until then to orchestrate the collateral kinds of information releases that would help create some momentum...but one never knows.
