Re: Internet Cache Folder

Interesting. If by right-clicking on the desktop object does not give you the option to delete the shortcut (if it is a shortcut).

You might want to check out the Internet Options, either from Explorer itself (View on the menu bar, then "Internet Options") or from the Control Panel.

Under the General tab, there is a few options regarding Temporary Internet Files. Check to see what directory it is pointing to. The default is C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files.

If it's somehow pointing to the desktop, simply change it. If not, it might require further research.

Note: Temporary Internet Files is the MS Internet Explorer term for Cache that Netscape uses. It's a directory that stores all the temporary files that you download when online (graphics, past pages, etc.)

Cheers,

Richard
