Why don't we just do away with the government and justice system and rule by "poll"? Since politicians seem only interested in staying in power and not making any unpopular but sometimes necessary decisions, what function do they serve? Does ANYONE really believe the "polls" and liberal media would have been supportive of a REPUBLICAN president in the same predicament!? "Rationalization" is the name of the game! The reason that Clinton is popular is because, like a chameleon, he changes his positions to match prevailing popular opinion. Since the media holds so much power over popular opinion, maybe they are currently running this country! And if you don't know how to manipulate the media forget any idea of running for President! President Carter had strong principles and was genuine, President Reagan equally. Clinton appears more like the ultimate con-man. And the way he slings missiles around, I'm glad I'm living in the USA. But beware - Clinton is doing his very best to reignite the Cold War. Neither a Republican or a Democrat, Meredith
