Thanks for your reply, Mark. 1. Recycle bin - It is as useless as a one-armed bandit in a bankrupt casino. 2. Got my volume control back onto desktop. Gonna party! Interestingly, my AOL instant messager software sounds off as does the Bill Gates windows opening greeting. 3. My UnReal player is G2 - I'll try to uninstall later. But, do the discarded parts get shredded and into the recycle bin. Remember, I'm worried about evacuating the wife and kids if there's gonna be an explosion! I have an uninstaller program which I never installed and I am now afraid to use it. I never upgraded to Norton's windows utilities. And who said computers weren't any fun? Could it have been my wife?
