I am a believer in SBYT, their games anyway, yet the fact is that it's not only non-essential people that are leaving. When game creators like Sid Meier start walking out the door, it spells trouble. I talked to a customer rep. at SBYT today asking about the release of their key games like MOO2 and Magic. They have been pushed back to the fall without a specific date or even month. MOO2 was supposed to be released in April '96 and Magic last year, another sign of trouble. If you take these games out of their line-up SBYT looks weak to me. Without game developers their long term prospects look even weaker.
