Short Take: Library of Congress gets AT&T grant By Sandeep Junnarkar Staff Writer, CNET News.com February 10, 1999, 9:00 a.m. PT AT&T announced a $3.5 million grant to the Library of Congress. The grant will support the National Digital Library loc.gov , an initiative spearheaded by the library to digitize collections relating to American history and make them accessible online. The AT&T grant caps off the library's $60 million campaign, allowing it to reach the goal of digitizing 5 million items from their distinguished collections and developing related education support materials. ----------- i'll assume some of this money will be used to create store and preserve Real Audio Files..........
