steve, don't know if that file is the aol instant messenger program or not. regarding a "little yellow man" icon in your task bar... have you tried right-clicking on it? often, the resulting menu selections will give you an exit option, that then may lead to an opportunity to not have it run on start up. try it, if you haven't already. mark
