RE: AOL Instant Messenger & Startup
What you say about the System Configuration Utility is true. However, it's only in Windows 98, and not Windows 95. Unless you have TweakUI installed for Windows 95, or the program is located in StartUp Folder only direct Registry editing will safely remove it. (If an uninstall options is not given)
If you do happen to have Windows 98, by all means, give it a try. It's quite the useful feature, but by all means, if you do not know what a program is for, do NOT remove it. It might cause more problems than you can believe.
Also, don't just delete the AIM.EXE file either. Since Windows is still being told to run it, you'll get more pop-up errors at boot time.
