Be careful of investing in biotech firms with little or no high scientific visibility. The market floor is strewn with stocks that were driven up on hope and nothing else. For example....Humascan...Cell pathways....Cephalon....Viragen...etc. High profile journals include Spine, NEJM., American J of Gastroenterology not second rate journals as have been mentioned on this thread. It is,alright to be an investor in biotech companies but since 1992 they have underperformed this market in a big way unless you include majors like PFE,WLA,and LILLY.
