NEWSYS SOLUTIONS ANNOUNCES PARTNER AGREEMENT WITH
IBM - IBM TO CONTRIBUTE TO NEWSYS MARKETING BUDGET FOR
IBM'S INTELLIGENT MINER PRODUCTS

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--NewSys Solutions Inc. ("NewSys" or the
"Company"), (ASE:NSS) a leading Information Technology ("IT")
services company, is pleased to announce that it has entered into
a partner agreement with IBM, to act as a reseller and integrator
for IBM's Intelligent Miner(TM) analytical tools. This agreement,
covering both Canada and the United States, represents an
important development in the Company's Business Intelligence
("BI") practice. NewSys is one of only two IT services companies
in Canada with the necessary training and technical expertise to
offer integration services for this product line. As part of IBM's
Business Intelligence Partner Initiative, NewSys will also receive
a marketing investment from IBM to assist the Company in its
marketing program for Intelligent Miner.
IBM's Intelligent Miner solutions help identify and extract
high-value BI from corporate data assets. Organizations can
leverage hidden information in their data, uncovering
associations, patterns, and trends that can lead to a significant
competitive advantage. Included in this product suite are: (i)
Intelligent Miner for Data which mines structured data stored in
conventional databases or flat files and address business problems
in such areas as customer relationship marketing, financial
analysis and sales performance; and (ii) Intelligent Miner for
Text which harvests information from text sources such as customer
correspondence, online news services, e-mail and Web pages.
