If you are happy with what you have fine. There are plenty of people who are happy dealing with old line brokers at Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, etc. who pay an arm and a leg. There are plenty of people who are happy dealing with Ameritrade, Suretrade etc. where there orders are sold for order flow. To each there own. But for people who want systems that get rid of the BS that goes on when your orders are entered in the market place choose island (or even better island book) or a similar system. Maybe it's just a learning curve problem and ARCA, SOES and SNET are easier for some people to use, but for speed and price improvement opportunities there is no comparison. Any traders I know can beat the pants off of anyone using ARCA, SOES or SNET
for faster fills and better prices and I think ultimately that is how we keep score.
