Li Cai,

blackmind is a perfect example of why the stock hasnt yet taken the nose-dive that it will do when the trial and the NT delays and the Y2K issues start hitting MSFT hard later this year.

"IT CANT HAPPEN TO MSFT" blind beliefs are just amazing on this board.

Blankmind, why would you think the Democrats will not seriously wound MSFT? The Courts will do what is necessary to stop MSFT from breaking Anti-Trust laws. That is a very naive statement IMO. Why dont you go to the next level of statements and say "The government would not be stupid enough to seriously hurt Al Capone's empire.".

Any remedial action the Courts agree to impose on MSFT will be to stop MSFT illegal actions and provide for a healthier technology industry and consumer industry. As a MSFT stock-holder I know you cannot see this logic. So why dont you try to put your thinking into a different perspective.

The Courts and the Government are not MSFT stockholders. They are representatives of the US citizens and the laws of which the citizens abide by. So change your perspective and then you will see that it is very possible that the courts (not the democrats) will end up having to hurt MSFT for the greater good of the industry, the consumer, and to up-hold the laws of your nation.

The stock will likely go down as we near the final verdict date and if the verdict sides with the Government (which is proven to be more likely the verdict) then the stock will really drop. Contrary to the opinions on this board (big surprise) the MSFT stock price has not accounted for a negative trial verdict. That is because there are too many stockholders out there like you that simply cannot phathom the idea that MSFT would be actually hurt by anyone.
