Whistler Resort breaks 100,000 room nights

Huge skier nights translate into huge revenue and earnings for an integrated operator like Intrawest. Lodging, lift tickets, food, booze... you name it, Intrawest will get a piece of your dollar.

The following news, fresh off Whistler's on-line journal, is nothing short of awesome;

"January 1999 now goes into the record books as being the busiest month for room nights ever recorded. There were 109,000 room nights sold last month. The previous record was March 1998 when there were a record 99,000 room nights sold."

To put this in perspective, during Whistler's previous record month (March 1998), ITW soared by 13.8%. A repeat performance would boost ITW's current oversold value to just below $29. Still below my $32 target, but an encouraging start nevertheless.

Thomas
