The pigeon is referring to some carbon-coal like material observed in some breccia till material. It really means nothing at all. It could have come from 300 kilometers down and reflect carbon material that was not in the temp range to maintain diamond form or it could be that the pipe encountered country rock and coal at some point near surface. One cannot draw any significant conclusions based on carbon-coal like material in breccia.
