why is this analyst worried about y2k expenditures in 1999 when you've so clearly stated that there, for all intents and purposes, won't be any? Skeeter, I've never stated there will be no slow down of expenditures due to y2k. That said, I will state that IMO the slow down will be less than some expect. But I think it is equally likely that any slowdown is followed by a post y2k re-acceleration. Interestingly, the PC hardware itself (BIOS) has been y2k compliant since about mid-95. Some PC software will still be something of problem. Oh, but all that old COBOL mainframe software. Easiest fix. Just ditch all the mainframes and replace them with clustered PC servers<g>.
