Yes, you're right! But it's not Borders.

I'm not sure you can say that quite so definitively. There isn't a number available to do so. The one fact, is that same store sales growth for the fourth quarter was down pretty significantly as compared to where it was tracking the first nine months. Now that loss of growth came as a result of some influence. Amazon's sales were up, and BKS didn't suffer any deterioration in same store sales growth. From that, I can make a reasonable assumption that Borders growth was impacted by competition. Definitively? No. Hey, maybe it was the weather. I'll just wait to see this quarter's numbers before I decide what to do. One quarter does not a trend make, but if it happens again I'll be gone like a flash.

Everytime I go to Borders its crowded.

Me too, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the crowd is generating growth. The crowd only grew same store sales 1.6% last quarter. Let's hope it was the weather.
