Chuzzle, Oddly enough, IDC is the source of both of our statements: CNET, Jan 29, 1999 4:50 PM. The article is titled "Surveys: World PC Shipments Rebound." The IDC quote mentions growth of share from 3rd to 4th quarter and reads: "...while Dell's share slipped to 12.8% from 14.1%." Gee, you would think you folks who buy this overpriced fluff stock would read the news. <G> I don't have exact revenue numbers. I know that ASPs were down between 20-30% last year while units were up 12% for the industry. That is negative growth, dude. Any way you look at it. I will resstate my previous opinion to "Dell lost share in the 4th quarter and pc growth was down for 1998 and Chuzzlewit needs somebody to help him read something other than the co. spin." MB
