Annette my wife's cousin, Pat Alger, is a song writer producer. Well connected in Nashville and writes for Garth Brooks and a few others. He headed a group last year designed to get some type of legislation passed that would ban certain copyrighted Internet music as well as try to get royalties from the net in some manner.

I saw him this past October and he told me that he had all but given up on the whole thing. He said a few toothless laws were passed but by the time they could get new Regs written and passed the technology would change so fast his Regs would be out dated. He was fuming mad. Just the mention of the word Internet sets him off!<g>
