Now here is a real pisser...

My broker went to a new firm, so I transferred all of my stuff to his new firm. This all happened like 6 months ago. The only problem was, I kept getting statements from the old brokerage.

So, I called the old brokerage, and they told me that they cannot close my account because there are shares of Freedom in there, of which they cannot dispose. Apparently they cannot transfer them unless they are valid issues, which of course, they are not.

They told me that they would close the account if I wanted to waive claim to the Freedom shares, or I could continue to pay the account fee every month in the event they ever start to trade.

Three guesses on what I did with them.
