mary, they were. they made a deal with cpq so cpq would install their browser. then gates slapped cpq around with some kind of threat and cpq caved in. just like i said, predatory practices.

msft didn't cave. they fought and fought and fought for something so worthless? maybe bill sees the same value that i do... i'd pay millions to get on msft's desktop (ie, 90%+ of all new desktops) if i were in the software business. my competition might pay $10s of millions.

hey, why isn't msft selling space on its desktop and forcing pc makers to have it loaded on the desktop? ooops, maybe that is plan b. ;-)
