I really don't see a problem with "franchises" per se. Although it wouldn't surprise me to see TN cut them loose and do it themselves. With the current market premium given to online firms, TN insiders have yet to cash in on going public. I suspect it won't be far off.

There's no doubt the big national firms will finally figure out the value of the technology utilized by these day trading outfits. They will most likely swallow them up and integrate them into their own services.

And let's not forget E*trade lurking in the bushes. They may very well take an equity interest in TN and Townsend now that they have 25% in ARCA.
