Can't even go away on a long weekend without R.E.(ski) proclaiming another WSTL mishap...I agree ALA will get the CO rfp win but WSTL will get the CPE...ALA cpe lacks the functionalality that Telco's want and WSTL products work well...WSTL-DMT with ALA chip ready for April...ALso if you didn't know SBC and BLS have RFPs out for CPE for ALA compat. CPE equip. WSTL is bidding for it...If you must know, ALA wanted WSTL to sign chip deal 2 years ago but MOT duped WSTl about their chip...Then ALA wanted WSTl to sign a chip deal around the WSTL/AMTX merger time frame but TXN promised their chip...SO if you want to really blame WSTL for not having alot of CO business it is directly related to MOT & TXN chip delivery BS....The Telcos really wanted a true DSP based chip for the CO but the clock is ticking and they can't wait any longer, that doesn't mean WSTL won't be back in the C.O. hunt when TXN delivers, for now 50% of BT and LU agreement will have to do at the C.O, and I hope WSTL can cut a LU type deal with a foreign switch provider....The financing is CLOSE and I expect feb 15 to march 31 to have many interesting news releases, How wall street idiots reacts, hopefully they will realize WSTL is for real and has great alliances that will propel them to better times!
