Do you remember this one red? I would think that this must lead somewhere! I would bet that a lot of people spent a lot of time going over all the information very carefully before pointing the drill for the pipe this week.

Interim Report on Drilling Program

Winspear Resources Ltd (WSP.V) is pleased to issue an interim report on the
drill program that is underway in the Snap Lake area of the Camsell Lake
property, N.W.T. The project area is situated 140 miles northeast of Yellowknife
and is a joint venture between Winspear Resources Ltd.(57.3%), the operator,
and Aber Resources Ltd. (42.7%).

A recently completed vertical drill hole in the Snap Lake area has intersected
approximately 107 metres of complex kimberlite breccia. The kimberlite breccia
unit extends in the hole from a depth of 103 metres to a depth of 210 metres
where it passes abruptly into relatively fresh, unaltered granite that continues
to the bottom of the hole at 247 metres. A range of pyropes and a single
coarse chromite grain were recovered from the surface of the kimberlite breccia
intersection. Core will be submitted for caustic fusion analyses following
completion of detailed logging. This hole demonstrates that a complex range of
kimberlite intrusions together with large intersections of kimberlite exist in the
Snap Lake area.

Drill holes continue to test both geophysical and geochemical targets in the
Snap Lake area where highly diamondiferous kimberlite boulders and anomalous
concentrations of pyrope garnets and kimberlitic chromites were discovered in
late 1996. To date, ten drill holes have intersected kimberlite dykes in the Snap
Lake area of which the largest is approximately 3.2 metres estimated true
width. Some of these intersections may represent the same dyke feature. A
total of three macro diamonds ( >0.5 mm largest dimension) have been
recovered in the field from these dyke intersections.
As previously reported, all
kimberlite dyke intersections will be logged in detail prior to being submitted for
caustic fusion analyses and removal of indicator minerals.

A total of 24 holes have now been drilled with an additional hole presently in
progress. Approximately 4100 metres of drilling have been completed leaving
approximately 1000 metres remaining on the original spring program. The
partners are also pleased to report that the budget for the spring program has
been increased by $100,000. Additional funds will be used to extend the
existing ground geophysical grids on the property and to drill additional holes in
the vicinity of the recent kimberlite discovery.

On Behalf of the Board of Directors
