The upgrade allows you to restrict the amount of files you put on HD. You can keep say 2 years there and access the cd for a look beyond that. It will be a bit slower depending on computer. Stocks and mutual funds full data take up 541 meg or so. Didn't see a choice of download but I bet it is there in some form. All of us need to upgrade our HD, the technology will fill them fast. Good thing they are cheapest in years.
