Now, come on, David. We all know that the issue with IBM and HIE was with the wording of the press release. It said that HIE would "market and sell" the combined solution, and that IBM would provide co-marketing funds. IBM is NOT authorized to sell it. You backed yourself into a corner by being so adamant in your claims that IBM would "sell" the solution. Your later claim that they "sell" it by referring prospects to an HIE representative (if they actually will do that) was just sugar coating.

White-washing your fib with some word games doesn't make you right.

Your claim that all IBM salesmen had been briefed was incorrect, too. The guys who sell the MQSeries still hadn't heard about the HIE deal a week later!

Why don't you admit defeat on these issues. You're only making yourself look bad by trying to shmooze your way out of it. When you were confined to the HDIE thread and backed up by your cheering supporters, it was one thing. But out here in the "real world", you'll get eaten alive.

Why don't you go back to "your" HDIE thread and leave these nice people alone?

Regards,
