The last time I tried to out guess an analyst I lost. The fact was the analyst had a national audience. I didn't. He was wrong. I was right. The stock went down anyway, and did not recover for some time.

You may be perfectly correct, but do you have a national audience? The perception is more important then the facts tomorrow. In a strange twist of life, the perception is fact until Mike Dell speaks tomorrow afternoon.

You should understand this. After all, didn't you state something about not having to know all the details? You just observe what is going on in you investment firm. Probably not an entirely accurate quote, but that was the guise of the message as I recall it.
