Patricia, let me see if I can tackle this one.... Society views men on what their accomplishments are. Women on who they are. It's a big difference and it's built into the fabric of what makes men men and women women. This may sound nonsensical on the surface but let me try and explain. Why is it if we see men in their 60's with women in their 20's, we think, Hey what a stud! he must be a Hugh Hephner successful kinda guy. But we rarely say the same toward a successful woman in their 60's with men in their twenties? The answer is woman are valued by who they are, vs what they accomplish. Some of the most successful, bright woman I have ever known stay at home all day and raise their children. You never hear about them on the national scene, and some may feel like teaching a course in Aerobics. It say's nothing about what kind of a person they are, or what their value is. The greatest gift a woman can give a man is to openly say to him "I trust you to earn the money for our family". This engenders the greatest feelings of self worth and desire in men to go beyond their own expectations. The really tough part for women is to find a man strong enough in battle, but gentle enough in family to give this gift to. As I said, woman are valued by who they are vs what they have accomplished. Your expectation of Rush say's far more about who you are than about who Rush is. Michael
