Quiet day - tiny last sale Without the last sale - Nesbitt picking up just 100 shares from Levesque - VNE would have finished up 3 cents for the day - but it finished even on a volume of just 71,150. I don't know if the last trade is a case of 'painting the tape' or not - probably not with the close 15 minutes away - but why pick up just 100? However, for such a slow day and very narrow trading range it may not mean anything. Furthermore, there is no downward pressure to speak of - with the end-of-day market depth showing just 10,300 shares being offered at less than $1.50.
