Actually, researchers have been using DMSO (DiMethyl SulfOxide) for years as a cryo preservative when freezing cells. I'm guessing that its same compound. Works great on cells (after freezing in liquid nitrogen and remaining in a state of suspended animation, the cells can be thawed and brought back to life).

Demand for Celebrex has been very high. For pain, its not supposed to be that more effecting than compounds like Ibuprofin, but has much lower incidence of gastro-intestinal problems. 66% of prescriptions thus far have been by rheumatologists.
