You may be right as I was once a single parent who raised two children for 8 years on my own. My ex-husband decided he had better things to spend his money on so I was left to support and raise them myself. As a result of my experience, I will never put myself in the position to rely totally on any man for my livelihood, as to do that would make me a slave to their money! I would be forced to accept anything they dished out and that's not a position I want to put myself in. I feel it's wise for all women to have something to fall back on in case they are left by divorce or by death.I am thankful that I was able to get a decent job when I needed it. This philosophy has worked well for me
