Congressman Rich Boucher of Virginia to Kick-off Summit as Keynote Speaker
FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 1999-- World leaders in the telecommunications and computing industries will gather in Washington, D.C. for the ADSL Forum's Summit Meeting on Tuesday, March 2, 1999. The Summit Meeting will highlight new developments in the rapidly expanding technology sector, ADSL, with a focus on regulatory issues, industry projections and analysis, state of DSL -both full rate and lite, backbone and infrastructure as well as discussions regarding quality of service and service level agreements. ADSL Forum members and non-members are welcome to attend.

''The summit will prove to be of value to anyone involved with, or interested in ADSL,'' said Hans-Erhard Reiter, the ADSL Forum Chair. ''Our agenda is packed with industry leaders who will share world-wide experience of both technical and market aspects of ADSL technology.''

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Keynote speaker, Congressman Rick Boucher, R-Virginia. He will address how US government regulations will affect ADSL and the future of the industry. A panel of leading analysts from across the country, including Telechoice and Current Analysis, will discuss the technology and projections for deployment over the next decade. Attendees will also hear from industry leaders such as Covad, Allot Communications, Westell, Williams, Concentric Networks, Phoenix Group, and Telecom Partner Ltd. In addition attendees will hear from representatives from the FCC and Stanford University. With a full day of high-level panels discussing key issues facing ADSL, the Summit is sure to provide executives with a high-speed update on ADSL for the turn of the century.
