Bruce, I would like to make a comment if you don't mind. God's Word is everything to the born again Christian. Yes, He truly speaks to those who seek him in love and in truth. That is why the Bible is called God's living Word, because Jesus is the Word and the Word is Jesus. When Paul tells us that if we as Christians have hope only for this life, and that if if Jesus was not resurrected, then we, of all people are truly to be pitied. His words come off the page and the seeking Christian truly finds life eternal in the pages of God's Word. It is a miracle, but as Jesus says his flock knows His voice, and follows Him.
