AHWY news: (not on Yahoo yet) CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16,
1999--audiohighway.com (Nasdaq:AHWY.O), an Internet-based information
and entertainment company, Tuesday announced it has added an
e-commerce section to its Web site with the launch of audioshop(TM)
and begun online selling of a variety of products.
In addition to being able to download free audio content from the
Web site, audiohighway.com visitors can now purchase online a number
of name-brand computers, PC upgrade packages, sound cards, speakers
and other general computer components from the company's Web site
(http://www.audiohighway.com).
Michael Lamb, vice president of sales for audiohighway.com, feels
that adding electronic commerce to the site will help strengthen a
sense of community among its visitors.
"We want to do everything possible to make our customers'
Internet experience as positive as possible," Lamb said. "That's why
we've added this e-commerce section to the audiohighway.com Web site -
to make it as easy as possible for our users to buy related products
online from us.
"Then if they need a new sound card, upgrade package, multimedia
PC or external speakers, it's right there at the same Web site.
Naturally, as we find other appropriate items we believe will also
benefit our customers, we will add them to audioshop at the site."
The audioshop portion of the audiohighway.com Web site uses
secure e-commerce systems, and purchases can be made on the site with
most major credit cards.
