Tuesday February 16, 8:56 am Eastern Time Egghead.com to be software vendor on MSN SPOKANE, Wash., Feb 16 (Reuters) - Egghead.com Inc. said on Tuesday that the retailer will be the main computer software merchant on Microsoft Corp.'s (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) MSN Shopping and have an advertising presence on the Internet service's sites. ''The Microsoft agreement is important,'' Egghead spokesman Jon Brodeur said. ''Software is one of the most popular products sold over the Internet today. We look forward to further increases in our market penetration as a result of this agreement with MSN.'' The MSN agreement is in addition to earlier agreements between Egghead.com and Yahoo!
