I am not a microprocessor designer or physicist, so I can't address the technical limitations regarding clock speeds. However, I am confident that Intel will continue to generate demand for high-speed chips with their successful push/pull marketing strategy (i.e. aggressively selling to computer manufacturers while at the same time advertising heavily to the end user).
