Perceptronics Selected for Global California Mentoring Program
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Feb 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptronics, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PCTR) announced today that it was selected to participate in the Global California Mentoring Program (GCAMP).
GCAMP is an intensive resource program created by the Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance (LARTA) to help California companies compete successfully in the global marketplace.
GCAMP focuses on technology companies that want to develop or expand into the international marketplace. GCAMP provides direct access to experts from consulting, legal, financing and public service companies to assist the selected companies in developing international marketing plans, high-potential organizational strategies and immediate action plans. Sponsors include Grant Thorton, Rodi Pollcck, Imperial Bank, and Southern California Edison.
Dr. Richard Vestewig, Senior Vice President at Perceptronics, said, "We are pleased and honored to be chosen to participate in GCAMP. We see the resources and support provided by GCAMP as very helpful in bringing our new technology for Internet Collaborative 3D (IC3D)(TM) to the international marketplace. GCAMP will also help Perceptronics expand its international market in training systems for various commercial and military applications."
"We are especially grateful to LARTA for sponsoring and organizing GCAMP. LARTA is currently monitoring a grant to Perceptronics from the California Technology Investment Partnership Program (CalTIP), designed expressly to help California business bring high-technology products to market. So far, this grant has supported market research, trade show exhibits, and creation of a dedicated IC3D web site -- featuring a "hands-on" demonstration of a collaborative 3D rowing simulation. The market research, demonstration content and web site design were all done in partnership with talented California companies. With the knowledge gained from GCAMP, we plan to further exploit these accomplishments to penetrate the international market for Internet technology. Success in this endeavor would help Perceptronics grow and continue its contribution to California technology and job creation."
Perceptronics performs research and development and manufactures and markets computer-based simulation systems for military and commercial training and decision support.
