Jeff--

Relax. I don't find this sinister. "Near future" could be tomorrow, could be next week, could be two weeks from now. AOL has screwed up bigtime of late, and they're treading on very thin ice. The last thing they need to do is promise something definitively and then not deliver. Probably they fear that turning on x2 will create even more demand that they can't handle.

Something to think about: I find it extraordinary that the world's largest ISP apparently didn't realize how much time people would spend online if given the chance to do so without hourly charges. I think the whole internet phenomenon has been grossly underestimated by practically everyone, even those in the business: forget Wall Street.
