Madly:

Web site purchases are a convenience to on-line shoppers. The money behind OTC cold medications is in retail store sales. Retail store chains do not like to be underpriced by the companies who supply them.
This is very common in the retail industry. How do I know? My wife hard her own business in which she had to deal with stores, on-line catalogs, middlemen, wholesalers, etc. There are politics galore behind retail marketing of an item and this issue is very real.

This is not a unique issue to GelTech/GUMM and they realize who butters their bread. At the same time, they want to reach everyone who may hear of Zicam. This is the reason, most likely, that they eliminated the routine shipping charge (I understand they actually pay for it themselves).

Regards,

Howard
