The perfect solution ...

MSFT writes a version of Word, Excel, and Office for Linux.

It seems that not being able to use Word/Excel is the only excuse for not switching to a faster, cheaper, better, more reliable operating system. Microsoft has a version of Office for Apple computers.

If Windows is the superior OS ... so be it. Let the market decide.

Microsoft should have no objection. All they do is write "great" and "innovative" software right? People choose IE because it is superior to Netscape right?

OK, how about simply offering Excel for Linux? It's the only MSFT application I use anyway.

Linux ... the best things in life are free.
