Gary,

You do yourself a small disservice. Talent is talent. The ability to profit using one method predicts your capacity to do so using many others.

Also, traders finding a method that "works" sometimes box themselves in. The market tends to close off the profitability of whatever currently works. The long-term successful trader is always testing new methods in order to stay one step ahead of the game.

Success can become a limitation as old methods lose their punch but operant conditioning has the trader still "salivating" on the older, unworkable method long after it starts to dry up.
