I disagree to a point on the possibility of competition and the fear of it.

If there is one thing we have learned on the web, it is almost impossible to play catch-up. Regardless of who you are. A few years ago we all looked at Amazon and said "neat site, but wait till Barnes and Noble decides to bury them"

Yahoo: "nice site, but Alta Vista has a better engine and is owned by DEC"

eBay: "Wait till Yahoo decides to leverage their users and take them on"

Sound familiar?

Not saying atCost will be a sure fire category killer or anything like that, but don't underestimate the importance of getting there first. It IS more than half the battle.

P.S. Ingram is already in this market - They are buy.com's vendor.
