Robert,
I think that without a truly uncensored press the freedoms we still have will rapidly erode. Like the frog in the pot on the stove, most Americans don't realize just how far their freedoms have already eroded.
As for the conservatives you mentioned, I find most to be equally offensive as the talking heads on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN. The content of most "news" shows are not reporting facts but opinions slanted to shape the viewers perception of events.
<<I find CNN to be largely unbiased>>
Here's todays example of CNN bias. I don't agree with Gloria on many issues, but she should have a right to be heard. Apparenently CNN has a thin skin when it comes to WJC. This begs the question, just why is CNN so quick to ditch Gloria when she calls a spade a spade?

MEDIA MUZZLE: ALLRED BANNED BY CNN AFTER CLINTON COMMENTS!
**Exclusive**
Here's one thing you won't hear brought up during CONVERSATION WITH AMERICA: WE THE PEOPLE airing on CNN Tuesday evening...
Feminist attorney Gloria Allred now says that she has been banned from the all news network because she called on President Clinton to resign!
On her weekly KABC talkshow Sunday night, Allred reluctantly admitted that she is now persona non grata at the Atlanta based all news network after calling for the president to resign last August for his legal and ethical misconduct in the Lewinsky affair.
At the time, Allred had also filed a "friend of the court" brief in the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit against the President.
Allred, a former Clinton advocate, campaigner and friend, claimed that an inside source at CNN told her that network brass now considered her a "Clinton Hater" and would no longer extend her face time. Allred expressed astonishment at the turn of events because she says she has appeared on CNN as a regular guest since its inception in 1980.
The last time Allred appeared on CNN was August 23, 1998, during THE WORLD TODAY.
"So, very reluctantly, and I'm heartbroken to say this, it's very painful to me, I feel that he should resign," Allred told the camera.
She would never again be invited back to elaborate on her comments.
Over the weekend, Allred broke her silence on the CNN blackball during her Los Angeles radio talkshow:
"I think I am going to say something here that I've been reluctant to say. But I am going to say it right now.
"As far as I know, I am the only feminist in the country, that is reasonably well known, who did say that the president should resign as a result of lying under oath. And it is interesting what happened to me after I said that. CNN carried that when I said it. And then, even though I had been on CNN since its inception, generally a number of times each month on a variety of shows, I have not been interviewed on CNN for the past 7 months."
Allred continued: "I was told by someone at CNN that it is because certain management had made a decision that I was a 'Clinton Hater' and I was not permitted on."
CNN head Rick Kaplan was not available for comment on Monday.
But the DRUDGE REPORT did reach one Atlanta-based network insider who spoke about the Allred ban only on condition of anonymity.
"She is not wrong to feel that she was dropped from shows, because, quite frankly, she was," revealed the network veteran Monday afternoon.
"But come on, Drudge, this is no conspiracy. We've had Lucianne Goldberg on any number of times, and we just adore her son, Jonah. And who is putting Linda Tripp on live for 1 hour?"
When pressed, the well-placed source refused to explain why Allred was never again invited back on CNN after she expressed her views on Clinton last August.
Allred could not be reached.
